Proxy Setup Instructions for Ceburu

  • Setting up the proxy is mandatory; users can add new device configurations only if the proxy is successfully running.
  • Since the SNMP proxy operates exclusively on Linux machines, only Linux systems in a monitoring state will appear in the dropdown.
  • Steps:
    1. Select a Linux machine from the dropdown where Ceburu will configure the proxy to gather SNMP data.
    2. Enter the Username (System Username) and Password (System Password).
    3. Ensure that SSH is enabled from the Probe to the selected Linux machine, as this is a required condition for successful setup.

Username & Password Authentication for Ceburu

  • Upon submission, Ceburu validates the provided username, password, and SSH connection.
  • If authentication fails, Ceburu will prompt the user to re-enter the correct credentials. Validation typically takes around 2 minutes.
  • If authentication is successful, Ceburu will proceed to install the proxy on the selected system.
    • You can view the installation status by clicking the blue info icon.
    • The proxy installation process, including starting the service and beginning data collection, generally takes about 10 minutes.
